Listen to Eli play with the sweetest clean tones you ever heard coming from his Zachary Hollow body guitar. Distortion is one thing but getting a really nice clean tone is a hard thing to achieve. This hollow body, as you may know, can go from heavy rock to archtop jazz, all from one small hollow guitar.
here is the latest demo on YouTube,
NOTE: I had to recently remove links I had posted here before because Eli lost his YouTube account. He now started a new account and has uploaded most of his Zachary guitar demonstration videos to his new account. Just click here for Eli's new YouTube page Eliguitar1 and you will be thoroughly impressed, even if you despise this nasty website.
On the Zach Perspective page.
Check out my NAMM 2010 Review.
I feature a lot of idiots on this site but its time I posted some really intelligent feedback I got. (also on the Zach Perspective page)
If you are an idiot, read these comments and try to comprehend them, you may just learn something and it could make all the difference for you. Those circle jerk forums have really done their damage on you. You can come here to be de-programmed.
Oh, and check out the new Z 130110 - the first Zachary guitar of the new decade

I was recently set straight regarding the Internet when complaining about the astonishing ignorance and the masses of stupid vermin found on guitar forums. I was told by the fourth most dedicated Z player that "You put it out there on the Internet. There is no moron filter available for e-mail. It is what it is. Get over it."
But its just astonishing to me! They all live on guitar forums and masturbate around a circle with their equals. This is why I call them Circle Jerks. Its just not a good scene. Its nothing more than a disgusting public toilet. In fact that is exactly what a guitar forum is. A public toilet. There you have losers from everywhere congregating for group support and growing their stupidity under the cowardliness of anonymity. They don't have to prove any ability or accomplishment, not even their identity.
Take this for example: "I
really like his guitars. too bad you gotta kiss his ass for him to even
consider making you one."
No you don't have to kiss my ass. All you need to do is prove to me that you can actually play the guitar and prove to me that you are not a moron. Just give me evidence for these two simple requirements and I will make you the best guitar in the world. Its as easy and simple as it gets.
Or how about this circle jerk?
I just don't know what kind of person would want to be part of that particular club. :dunno
The ones part of this club are all those who have proven that they can play the guitar and have a certain amount of intelligence. They now own and play the best electric guitars in the world.
Speaking about actual players and not forum circle jerks, you should see these vids from Eli Friedmann. Incidentally this is someone who sent me links to his recordings in his first correspondence to me. That act alone made him qualify for a Z.

A short while ago I bought back a Z2-T 240503 because it was not being used. Six years later it was like brand new. This is a horrible tragedy. That is something consistent with a guitar purchased by a forums poster who cannot actually play the guitar or some ebay slime, who changes guitars more often than his shorts but not a true Zachary owner. Fortunately, Zach Fenner came forward to take her home and give her everything he's got to give.
Watch these videos to see Fenner in action and click on the other vids in the same series. You will agree he passed the Zachary qualifying requirements.

An hour before shipping this Z2-T to Fenner a few days ago. I made this video in one take. When I came out of my stupor, I realized that it was over 13 minutes long, so I had to post it in two segments. I am trying to justify being worthy of a Zachary guitar owner myself. I have a higher power to answer to. I was the one picked to be the creator of Zachary guitars and I don't take this gift for granted.

You stupid piece of shit,... we are the ones
who make up this club. Why? Because we can! ... and you
can't.
So get back to your guitar forum you shameful jerk, you worthless anonymous
piece of crap. That is where you belong.
Well, that's all to report for now. Next time I will not hold back with my opinions.
Oh, before I forget. PLAYERS
WANTED!!! Are there any still
out there? Or are gear forums posters the only thing
left?
What a horrible nightmare that is.

Recently this article was brought to my attention. I am a sucker for anything intelligent and as you know at the same time I abhor anything ignorant. What struck me is how well this article is written. I don't know the author and to my knowledge have never corresponded with him. To read it you can click Guitarded!, the blog where it originally appears, or you can go to the Zach Perspective page on this site.
Well, I keep seeing these guitar magazine "Gear Awards", not only do I not win any awards but all the magazines must have come to a mutual agreement to totally ignore my existence. They sure seem to conspire not to let you know about me. I find it hilarious how they must be afraid of me. I can literally destroy their dwindling and fragile business, with the rapid aging of the guitar consumer. See, the smarter I make the guitar consumer, the worse it is for the manufacturers and magazines. They have developed a specific game that one must play, which is dictated by the major manufacturers, who spend fortunes on advertising. Anyone who does not play this game is a threat and will spit into their soup. Homogeneity is the requirement; mass production, advertising, endorsements, retailer distribution. The more ignorant they keep their readers, the guitar consumer, then better their advertisers will do and the better they will do. Anyone threatening their advertisers cannot be tolerated and must be totally ignored, hoping he will go away and cease to exist. Just imagine the revelation and shock to the typical middle aged moron about to buy the latest glossy abomination from a guitar boutique. Where else will you be told that this stuff is garbage, a rip off and you are moron for even considering it? This is called education by sledgehammer. Sure some start kicking and screaming but they learn eventually.
The sad situation is that handcrafted guitar
making has been eliminated. Strangely enough its the tinkerers and the hobbyists
who keep handcrafting alive. The guitar magazines have been instrumental
at killing hand-craftsmanship by showing no admiration for it or even refusing
to mention it. Instead, instrument manufacturing by robots is idolized as
the legitimate form of instrument building. I suppose its a mater of economic
survival for them. A traditional craftsman will not throw money at them.
Everyone has to pay the bills. However, I still naively think that the "guitar
media" has an obligation of preserving art and craftsmanship. First
we loose guitar making and then we loose guitar playing as well. The future
does not paint a rosy picture.
What really saddens me is their constant praise of mass manufacturing.
How can anyone turn a mass manufacturer into a luthier and an idol of craftsmanship.
This is totally perverse and again the ignorant will simply eat it all up
and take out their credit cards, without knowing any better. Better not
mention me anywhere or I could do some real damage.
Having said all that, it would be very inappropriate seeing a Z guitar in a guitar magazine or a music store. That may be the ultimate sacrilege and a bizarre sight.

So, where are all of you hard-core players? You bunch of dummies, you can stop going to your local guitar boutique now, or maybe that is where you do belong and need that relic Strat. I know there are a lot who chat about guitars, but that simply proves you are nothing but a circle jerk hack, who should hang your head in shame. You have disgraced the guitar. I hear the boomers are dying and the few young kids there are, raised in Western culture, are playing Guitar Hero but not dreaming of becoming guitar heroes. If you were born after 1980 the guitar seems to be a pointless absurdity to you, I know. My friends you are witnessing the last decade of the guitar. It turns out, that it was nothing more than a fad and a form of merchandising, instigated by the money changers. Now that the generation which was partaking in this fad is dying, so is the guitar. The guitar consumer will be gone in the next 10 years, with nobody to replace him. What's coming? Just look at the world today and you can make a conjecture.
Speaking of true hard-core, you need to watch these vids of Eli playing his Zachary guitars with his band Mixtape. Check out his delicate use of nuances in his playing. This is pop music for the artistically sensible.
Also check out all Eli's current vids and upcoming vids of my definitive creation; the Z Hollow.
I also started my own youtube account and here are my first vids. Coincidentally, its of the Z2-SP (HT), to which I have become quite attached to.
Just look for ZacharyGuitarsMaker
or click here: http://www.youtube.com/results?search_query=ZacharyGuitarsMaker&search_type=&aq=f
If you can do this stuff on a Rickenbacker, then let me know. Rickenbacker,
how shameful. All they need is insanely figured tops.
More vids will follow of other Z guitars.

Two recent profound quotations:
No wonder "luthiers" must go down a different road from me; of inlays, fancy wood, glossy finishes, CNC "precision", Plek machine fret work, sucking the dick of every hack guitar consumer. The bottom line; its non-players, making guitars for non-players. A distasteful and contemptible combination, to say the least. No wonder the results are what you find. Alex
This (Hollow) guitar is just the best. It is your crowning achievement I think. form, style, tone, function, playability, vibe, versatility.....it is all there. Now my fingers are sore as hell! Eli
Check out
the new vid of the Hollow, with more to come. Also go to youtube and look
